...well, now I know. :) The simple brushed metal turned into a nifty cross-hash pattern.

I've always loved GIMP's Sparks brush, so when my picture wasn't turning out so well, I blew holes in it with this brush. Then I realized it looked cool. Yet more proof that half my images come as accidents.
